Outcome

I think that the overall outcome of the documentary was brilliant. I really liked how all my groups members were enthusiastic and willing to take up any job roles that were offered to them. The whole idea of the documentary was perfect and when it came to filming, we all had put our bests effort in making the documentary work. We had a plan in which one was asked to pick up the equipment and the other was asked to help out in the filming. Overall the outcome of the documentary was excellent and believe that all the members in the group put their effort in making the documentary a successful one.

Final documentary

Now that we have finished our documentary I beleieve that the thoughts and the ideas that were put together to create this documentary was perfect. In terms of the actual idea of 'shopaholic', the concept of this issue had risen widely in today's world yet some may not feel that they are in such condition. Moving on, the ideas and the process that was carried out in the making on the documentary was at an average pace. We all came up with different ways to film, and also where, when, who and how was also considered when creating and filming the documentary. Lastly in terms of editing, we all put our ideas and thoughts to make the documentary an interesting one to watch.

Editing!

On the 30th of March we had gathered all our filming in order for us to edit our documentary.
Deme, Arti and I had set up to meet in the LRC to carry out the process of editing. We had spent the whole day editing it until we finish it. We also got the music ready, which was composed by a classmates's friend. We all worked together in order to get the theme and the concept of the documentary correct. We all put our views and ideas in creating in this documentary to make it a pleasant one to watch.

Filming in St Albans

We filmed on the 24th of March at St Albans high street. The idea of the filming was to get as much vox interviews as possible. We started filming at around 1 in the after-noon. The busiest time at the shopping centre and high street. Everyone in the group was given a task to do. Krish was fliming and Leke, Arti, Deme and I were asking as much questions to the interviewee. We got quiet a few interviews from the public. It was a good turn-out as we got to interview people from all ages. The whole idea for filming was to get the publics views and opinions on what they think of the issue and whether they are stuck in similar situations.

Filming

We started our filming on Wednesday 17th March. We filmed a girl called Suzy Wallis in which she admitted that she was a shopaholic. We had filmed at her house in her bedroom in which she displayed all her bellongings. She displayed her clothes, shoes, bags and jewelery and we asked her questions on her addiction and whether she thinks that it is an addiction that should be seeked by medical professions. The overall outcome of the filming went well and we will be fliming soon at a shopping centre. We will aim to get more shots from the West End or Watford.

We also got some shots from the galleria shopping centre but was stopped by the security guards.

Our ideas!

For the past few weeks we have seen a number of the documentaries which Alan has showed us and figured out whether the methods were useful and effective. We worked in small groups and practised using the cameras and the boom. We also got a chance to see other people's work and analyse them.

We had looked at three minute documentaries and filled in practise forms of the proposals to help us fill in our real proposals. This was interesting as we fully analysed the documentaries in terms of the target audience and the form and style of it. We watchced more documenraries to help us decide on the style and the form of the documentaries.

We were told to pick our groups and decide on a topic that we as a group would like to do. We sat down and decided on our interests and chose our topic of 'confessions of a shopaholic', as it was previously shown on T.V

Now we were ready to start our proposal and filming.
